#ESP32 can run Adafruit 2,7′ OLED with the Arduino libraries. Just some pin numbers need changing (and connecting). Also level shifter is not needed.
I wish that there was an easy to use board for MIPI DSI displays (like amoled phone screen replacements – bigger than 2,7′). STM32F4 can do it, although not easily. Spartan 6 FPGA can turn it into HDMI. Maybe Solomon SSD controller chips could help?
