Hi guys I have a question, is there a way to set hostname for ESP8266?
I’m using with a separate Micro-controller and my Windows program is suppose to find my device.
I’m using ARPPing to check if the devices in the list are alive and then connect to it using Sockets, if the device answered on port XXXX it’s my device.
The process takes around 10 seconds because I used multi-treading but I’m not happy with it, if I had a hostname, I can just call the name and it should be done.
Can anyone give an input on this matter?
