I usually connect Raspberry and Arduino to get connection to cloud via WIFI, but I want now to build small devices so thinking about connecting the Arduino directly, it will use one hard coded URL either to get command or send values from sensor.
I used before WIFI shield but it was expensive.
I looked at ESP8266 but never really used it, to much work to get the code burned and always something went wrong
Can someone recommend an easy to program device which will be cheaper than regular wifi shield?
